QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in management role within a trade-oriented function.
  • Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Competence in planning maintenance schedules.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean drivers abstract.
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Reporting to the Asset Protection and Safety Manager, the Maintenance Manager will oversee and manage equipment and facilities, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and safe completion of maintenance and projects.

KEY JOB DUTIES

  • Regularly review equipment and systems to minimize downtime and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate maintenance activities across departments.
  • Handle local projects, facility maintenance, and safety/environment activities.
  • Respond to urgent situations and coordinate immediate repairs with contractors.
  • Direct and organize tasks for maintenance staff.
  • Communicate and coordinate machinery maintenance with operational departments.
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment at all locations, maximizing equipment life and reducing failure risks.
  • Work with Health & Safety Committees to resolve equipment guarding and protection deficiencies.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining equipment and facilities.
  • Regularly update key stakeholders on maintenance project status.
  • Manage department schedules and all facilities maintenance.
