The Maintenance Manager will lead and oversee the maintenance operations of the site. This role involves managing the team of multi-skilled shift engineers to ensure the running of 14 blown film extrusion lines and ancillary equipment. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing faults efficiently, implementing preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience managing maintenance or engineering teams in a 24-hour production facility.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills, with expertise in PLCs, ProfiBus systems, motors and drives and pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing paperwork, systems, and compliance documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Outlook.
  • Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Full UK driving license and reliable transport.
    Full Time, Permanent Role. Working Monday to Friday as core working hours.
    Work Location: On-Site - Elsham, Brigg, North Lincolnshire.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, supervise, and support a team of eight shift engineers to ensure effective operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Adopting a hands-on approach when necessary, actively supporting engineers in the factory to ensure swift resolution of issues and operational efficiency, alongside coaching and developing engineers skills
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently to minimize production downtime.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute preventative maintenance programs.
  • Provide support during out-of-hours breakdowns, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Oversee safe working practices for all staff and contractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Liaise with suppliers to source engineering spares and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Participate in management and health and safety meetings, providing updates and insights on maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, filing systems, and related documentation.
