Description:

Progressive Countertop Systems is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated maintenance mechanic to become a vital part of our team at our Strathroy location. The ideal candidate will be tasked at overseeing the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of tools and equipment. Additionally, they should be capable of performing routine building maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and well-maintained working environment. This role demands a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

REQUIREMENTS

· Strong mechanical aptitude and mechanical skills
· Familiarity with CNC machinery
· Proficiency in using hand and power tools
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Capacity to lift a minimum of 50lbs
· Reliable transportation
Progressive Countertop Systems offers a competitive salary, including overtime and group benefits.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Responsibilities:

  • CNC Machinery Maintenance: Perform scheduled repairs and ensure the optimal performance of CNC machinery and mechanical equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Tooling Management and General Building Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of tools and equipment, while performing routine building maintenance tasks.
  • Proficiency in Hand and Power Tools: Skillfully operate a variety of tools to perform maintenance, repair, and construction tasks.
  • Equipment Installation Assistance: Assist in the installation of new equipment, ensuring correct and safe setup for optimal performance.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Vehicle Maintenance Coordination: Manage maintenance and repair schedules for our fleet of vehicles, ensuring their safe and efficient operation.
  • On-Call Availability: Respond to maintenance or repair needs during evenings on an on-call basis.
