We are looking for Maintenace Mechanical Technician to join our Mercury Plant in Dudelange.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop your skills on preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, including mechanical, electrical maintenance and maintenance of industrial automation systems (PLCs)

Position Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanical technician to join our team at Goodyear Mercury Plant. The Maintenance Mechanician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment and machinery to uphold our commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Technical degree OR significant experience.
  • Strong knowledge in mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills - combined with the capability to lead and coach co-workers.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Drive to zero equipment breakdown by setting a high-quality standard of preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Repair and replace defective parts in various automotive systems, such as engines, brakes, and hydraulics.
  • Participate in spare parts management.
  • Lead and work together as a team with required outside companies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.
