SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have a new opportunity for experienced Maintenance Officer to join our Hetti Perkins Home for the Aged facility located in Alice Springs, NT. This busy and rewarding role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis of 38 hours per week.
The Maintenance Officer undertakes a range of generalist handy person duties to keep our facilities in the best condition by doing various odd jobs as directed by the Operations Manager. Being well-organised with strong general repair skills you will have experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment including basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or air-conditioning systems.
As the Maintenance Officer, you will have a keen eye for detail, you will be physically fit and able to attend to repair tasks at the interior or exterior of the facility to ensure the residents in our care have items attended to promptly.
This opportunity will suit a proactive person who enjoys working independently. You will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a maintenance / handy man capacity within your provided CV, you will be a literal thinker and able to problem solve. In addition, you will enjoy working amongst our elderly residents and respectful that your workplace is their home.

ARRCS MANDATORY COMPLIANCE – PLEASE NOTE, THESE ARE NOT REQUIRED AT APPLICATION HOWEVER IF SUCCESSFUL IN A ROLE WITH ARRCS MUST BE LODGED OR OBTAINED PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT.
