Our Clayton care home is set within a lively community 25kms from the CBD, surrounded by a hospital, supermarket, and schools. It consists of 155 beds, with a variety of care types. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Formal qualifications at post-trade or Advanced Certificate or Associate Diploma level; and / or relevant skills training or experience
• Experience in Property Maintenance and Building Works
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in Occupational Health and Safety
• The ability to solve problems independently

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Maintenance Officer you will provide quality and timely maintenance service across the Care Home, ensuring facilities are maintained to an exceptional standard that aligns with regulatory requirements and resident preferences. You will be responsible for the delivery of a high standard of property services, including repairs and maintenance, to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.

DUTIES

• Provide repairs and maintenance support to the care home across a wide scope of activities including:
• Identify and carry out preventative maintenance, repair and improvement works to the building, grounds and equipment in-line with the Maintenance Schedules
• Partake and lead continuous improvement or corrective activities associated with the care home facilities
• Assist in the development of repair and maintenance budget, monitor the actual utilisation of budget and escalates if there is any over expenditure.
