QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum 12 months related experience
- Demonstrated proficiency using computer software (Excel, Google Docs, Word)
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience approved by the Director of Maintenance & Operations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to listen and obtain clarification. Requires the ability to record and deliver information, to explain procedures, to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of correspondence, reports, forms, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS
Ability to manage difficult or emotional situations. Responds promptly to customer needs, solicits feedback to improve service. Responds to requests for service and assistance. Meets commitments. Ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and follows through on all assignments in a complete and timely manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties in a satisfactory manner. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
- Receives, audits, inspects, and maintains parts and materials for the Maintenance & Operations department.
- Maintains accurate records of daily deliveries and pickups.
- Accurately distributes parts and materials to staff as needed and ensures stocking and posting orders in a timely manner to expedite delivery of parts.
- Tracks and maintains inventory of any parts that are transferred to the repair area.
- Maintains accurate inventory of all shop parts and stores them appropriately in the designated areas. Maintains inventory on a computerized maintenance program or as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Assists in tracking, receiving, storing, and returning warranty parts in a timely manner.
- Maintains accurate inventory of shop tools and equipment and participates in annual physical inventory.
- Assists in checking out tools to the maintenance department staff and checks them in upon return. Keeps a daily log of tools that are checked out/in.
- Maintains written records of the disposal of hazardous waste.
- Acts as a receptionist for the shop.
- Assists technicians with ordering parts, materials, and supplies.
- Monitors ordered parts and processes incoming parts.
- Helps maintain the appearance of the area/department ensuring it is a clean and safe work environment. Disposes of trash, sweeps the area, and maintains organization.
- Frequently conducts visual inspections to check that tools are stored properly and equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Reports any damaged or lost tools and equipment to the appropriate person.
- Ensures that supplies and parts needed are kept stocked and readily available.
- Prepares quotes for parts, supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Assists in coordinating pick up or delivery of parts and materials from vendors, as needed, pick up items from vendors.
- Generates weekly/monthly reports, as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned
