Nyrstar Hobart is a large scale zinc smelter located on Hobart’s River Derwent, only a few kilometres from the Tasmanian capital’s charming and cosmopolitan city centre.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
The Maintenance Planner serves a vital function in the Asset Management structure and underpins all maintenance activities undertaken on site. The role is responsible for ensuring work is scheduled efficiently according to available resources both externally and internally according to department needs. The Planner is to support maintenance activities within the Asset Management Department to maximise equipment availability and reliability while meeting statutory obligations and site policies.
KEY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- ensuring safety, health, and environmental compliance
- planning, prioritising and scheduling to maximise plant performance
- assisting with plans for long-term equipment availability and reliability
- compliance, reports and audits
- training and support in the effective use of the work order system
- promoting continuous improvement strategies in maintenance performance
