Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role plans all predictive, preventive and condition-based maintenance, in conjunction with the sites production and operational plan to execute activities effectively and efficiently in a coordinated way.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a food processing/packaging environment
  • 2-4 Years Post- Secondary education in related Mechanical Engineering Technician/Technologist field
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Project management experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Manage technical data ensuring that appropriate information is organized and regularly update when a modification, improvement, or addition is made to manufacturing, utilities, and/or other support area equipment
  • Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate and distribute manpower and work schedules
  • Estimate time requirements to appropriately plan manpower
  • Determine the need for special tools and equipment and arrange their scheduling for work order completion
  • Coordinate with Production Planning on machine availability to schedule maintenance jobs
  • Monitor work order completion, backlog, and schedule compliance to ensure health of maintenance systems
  • Provide support for the development of any new technical documents and provide the organization structure to manage any new documents
  • Communicate with Maintenance team to prioritize and escalate critical work orders, as necessary
  • Receive scheduling feedback from the Maintenance Manager, and Technicians on completed work orders to maintain an accurate backlog schedule
  • Partner with the Maintenance team to determine parts requirements
  • Ensure 100% accuracy of site parts inventory, including weekly monitoring of inventory levels
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy by cross-referencing part numbers, vendor information, descriptions, etc.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate the quality, cost, and availability, of parts for the planning process
  • Update new parts manuals, operating manuals, drawings, and files in the CMMS per the work order folder
