REQUIRED (EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED, LANGUAGE SKILLS, ETC):

  • Trade qualification as Mechanical Fitter or Electrician
  • 10+ years of FMCG experience with exposure to various packaging equipment
  • Experienced with Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) – e.g. SAP EAM
  • Competent in maintenance management and planning
  • Excellent leadership skills and contractor management skills
  • Strong inventory and cost control capabilities
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Specific experience in these equipment types preferred: Rotary fillers, Rotary Labellers, Sleever, Palletising robots, Pallet Wrapper, AGV, sachet fillers, etc.
  • Project management experience
  • Google Suites knowledge

Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY (PURPOSE):

The Maintenance Planner / Spares Coordinator is responsible for scheduling maintenance activities and coordinating the availability of spare parts required for maintenance procedures at the Villawood manufacturing site. This role ensures the efficient operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities by optimising work plans and managing inventory. The individual will collaborate with various departments to support maintenance needs and improve equipment reliability.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regular review and optimisation of preventative maintenance (PM) activities with a view to reduce mechanical and electrical failure related unplanned downtime (UPDT). This includes equipment / component obsolescence management.
  • Collaborate with the digital and analytical (D&A) team to accelerate the development and digitisation of equipment specific checklists in line with manufacturer recommendations and best practices (C-P Smart Maintenance Standards).
  • Include all safety steps and requirements including lock-out/ tag-out procedures in task detail in consultation with Maintenance Manager and EH&S Manager.
  • Provide the Maintenance Manager and CP Manufacturing Planning team a forward outlook of the maintenance and required time to complete tasks.
  • Plan CMMS allocated work by due date in consultation with the Maintenance Manager & C-P Planning team (SCAMP meeting).
  • Planning scheduling shutdown work / Capital, Project and continuous improvement (CI) work.
  • Schedule for maximum utilisation of available resources when developing maintenance plans.
  • Update work orders (WO’s) with repair / servicing comments and data as required.
  • Coordinate service with external providers (e.g. HP compressor, blow moulder, printer, instrument calibration, etc)
  • Ensure SAP EAM is updated with correct spares inventory level with half yearly reviews of the stock holding and appropriate recommendation or escalation for adjustment.
  • Place spare parts orders as required and follow through to final delivery of spares.
  • Book incoming spares into the store and receipt into SAP.
  • Prepare weekly rotable spares report and coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to schedule refurbishment / rebuilds.
  • Analyse and prepare reports for the Maintenance Manager as required (e.g. spares consumed, PM completion, etc).
  • Provide hands-on support for the maintenance and manufacturing team in addressing equipment related breakdown.
  • Participate in regular team meetings with Maintenance and Eng team to identify inefficiencies and contribute towards continuous improvement deliverables including follow through.
  • Manage equipment technical library to a current state (e.g. source updated catalogues, documentations etc – softcopy and hardcopy)
