Description:

RELIABILITY ENGINEER - SAFETY

Reliability Engineer required for a large Pharmaceutical orgnisation in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting maintenance activities and programmes while also ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.

KEY EXPERIENCE:

  • Third level degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Maintenance Engineer with a focus on safety.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and heating systems. Ability to read system schematics and perform advanced troubleshooting.
  • In-depth understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

  • Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential hazards.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Support the site preventive maintenance programme with a focus on safety to minimize risks and downtime.
  • Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
  • HAZOP: Support site HAZOP programme.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance and safety inspections, repairs, and incidents.
  • Contractor Management: Oversee contractors to ensure they follow safety guidelines and complete work to a satisfactory standard.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving safety and efficiency in maintenance processes.
  • Sustainability: Support the site sustainability programme, hard projects and digitization
