JOB SUMMARY:

To manage the maintenance personnel to provide support for the production and plant maintenance operations.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• To be well versed in the safety requirements for equipment and machines.
• To know, enforce, and communicate company policies and procedures. Can learn, lead, and implement change.
• Keep abreast of new products and technology in the Plant Engineering and Maintenance fields.
• Keep the facilities and equipment in the best condition possible to meet safety, environmental, security, quality, production and nonproduction demands.
• Schedule personnel to meet these goals, including flexibility to respond to unplanned breakdowns and emergencies.
• Work with machine manufacturers and their service departments to keep machines up to their original specifications. Involves much phone time getting repairs parts, repair quotations , vendors, etc.
• Work extended hours and be on call nights and weekends when emergencies arise.
• Work with outside contractors.
• Maintain continuity of maintenance operations from one shift to the next.
• Ability to read (and sometimes modify) electrical and mechanical machine prints.
