ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor who enjoys a varied role where no two days are the same. Strong communication skills and sound decision-making abilities are essential. Your capacity to perform under pressure and adapt to changes will be invaluable in this fast-paced environment.
To be successful in the role you will bring:
- Relevant Trade Certificate
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a similar position
- Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Experience utilising a computerised Maintenance Management System, ideally SAP
- Quality and continuous improvement focussed
- Demonstrated high level of attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to think quickly, clearly and logically whilst meeting deadlines
- Ability to communicate confidently at all levels
- Previous experience within an FMCG production environment is desirable, but not essential
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maintenance and Engineering team.
This role will be based at our Arndell Park facility & will see you working closely alongside the Maintenance Manager to assist in the management of the plant maintenance by prioritising work requests, assisting with controlling costs and maximising the quality of work. You will lead and support your team to ensure all jobs are completed effectively and in a safe manner.
Your new role will include:
- Managing the maintenance program that includes preventative maintenance, corrective works and responding to breakdowns
- Ensuring timely responses to work requests and allocating resources appropriately
- Identifying vendors for the purchase of parts, negotiating on prices and placing part orders as required
- Identifying trends in the regular maintenance issues and reporting to the Maintenance Manager
- Attending to any call outs and assisting in breakdowns to ensure the plant is operational throughout production on a daily basis
- Minimising disruption to production by appropriately scheduling work requests and activities
- Supervising required contractors as per our contractor management plan
- Observing current work practices and identifying areas for improvement
