Salary: £14.60 per hour paid weekly plus an additional £20 per
week 4 on 4 off shift allowance

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Lineage is currently searching for additional Maintenance Technicians to join our growing team. Ideal candidates possess experience and/or education in Maintenance Engineering (electrical / mechanical) combined with strong technical skills and the ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment. You will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading the depot in a safe and organized manner as advised by the Maintenance Manager and General Manager, and to ensure that all repairs and service routines are completed in an effective and efficient manner. Emphasis is on delivering high quality goods and services to the organization at the lowest cost in a sustainable and ethical manner. This role will be based in Peterborough.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This is an entry level position, training will be provided to acquire the knowledge and skills to grow and develop within the maintenance team, along with official qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritise tasks and carry out repairs and complete the required paperwork and job logs on local WMS.
  • First point of contact in case of malfunction in the Yard system.
  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery, automation equipment, equipment, physical structures, and electrical systems under the instruction and close supervision of leadership, while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure that all tools used and stored on site have the relevant and valid Portable Appliance Test (PAT) stickers/certificates.
  • Woking with the Maintenance Manager to maintain stock of parts essential for the day-to-day upkeep and running of site.
  • Maintain regular maintenance of tools and workspace.
  • To check at least twice daily that the Coldstore plant is operating at the correct levels and temperatures.
  • Monitoring the refrigeration units are running in good order and that they are serviced on a regular basis.
  • Report unsafe situations, risks and (near) accidents using the correct procedure.
  • Adheres to the applicable procedures and instructions, such as in the field of food safety, HACCP, Occupational Health and Safety, Environment and Quality.
