Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Tottenham, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing metal forming and cutting machinery, ensuring that all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Valid certifications for Lift Truck, Scissor Lift, and Fall Arrest.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Proficiency in reading imperial measurements.
  • Solid working knowledge of forklifts, machinery, equipment, and related tools.
  • Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs.
  • Ability to operate various hand tools, saws, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50-60 lbs.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of tools, dies, fixtures and jigs
  • Disassemble and reassemble machinery for maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with metal forming and cutting machines.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including forklifts, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Inspect and test damaged machine parts, ensuring proper repair and functionality.
  • Collaborate with team members to repair or relocate machinery and equipment.
  • Assist with workstation layout improvements to enhance ergonomics and productivity.
  • Perform routine maintenance on fire extinguishers, exit lights, lift truck batteries, dust collectors, and overhead doors.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all equipment is in safe working condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
