Maintenance Technician

Barrett Petfood is a family owned and operated premium pet food manufacturer. Barrett Petfood is currently hiring for additional Maintenance Technicians on 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shift. This position will be responsible for properly maintaining equipment and supporting production to the highest standard. Mechanical aptitude is a must!

Responsibilities:

• Maintain equipment & practice preventative maintenance
• Production support
• Familiar with production equipment
• Understanding Manufacturing safety protocols.
• Electrical knowledge including but not limited to single phase 120V, three phase 480V and 24VDC power systems
• Safely handle power tools

Required Skills/Abilities :

• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Able to obtain Fork/Truck license
• Welding experience is helpful, but not required
• Follow GMP’s and safety protocols
• Great trouble-shooting skills
• Computer literate
• Team effort and communicates well with group/shift
• Boiler License (high pressure) or ability to obtain in a timely manner
• Some elevated work required
• Mechanical aptitude

Shift Hours:

• 2nd - 2:00pm - 10:30pm
• 3rd - 10:00pm - 6:30am
• Weekend Day - 6:00am - 6:30pm
• Weekend Night - 6:00pm - 6:30am

Salary $28,50-$32 per hour
