JOB DESCRIPTION

CMP Group Ltd., a leading provider of Marine Products, Construction, and Industrial solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Vaughan location/team on a Fixed Term contract basis for one year with the possibility of extension or permanent hire. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all facility, equipment and tools in a safe and efficient operating state. They will also be required to manage the repair, cleaning and maintenance of all production equipment and to support the manufacturing process in trouble shooting and continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of experience as a maintenance technician or in equipment maintenance
• 3+ years of fabrication, tool/ die and welding experience
• 3+ years of experience in reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints
• 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting production and quality issues
• 3+ years of experience participating as representative on company Health, Safety and Accessibility Committee.
• 3+ years of experience in enforcing safety practices and working knowledge of safety standards of equipment
• Millwright license (asset)
• Experience using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) is an asset
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Steel-toed safety boots
