Description:

Main duties and responsibilities :

  • Maintain site process equipment, including utilities. Replace and repair defective mechanical & electrical equipment, instruments and cabling when necessary. Support process changeovers and process cleaning.
  • Maintain items of instrumentation, measurement and control associated with process equipment as well as utilities.
  • Carry out scheduled calibrations on process and utilities instrumentation as to minimize possible batch impact, and unscheduled equipment downtime.
  • Carry out scheduled Preventative Maintenance PM’s on process and utilities equipment as to minimize possible batch impact, and unscheduled equipment downtime.
  • Carry out all operations to conform to cGMP requirements. Schedule shutdown works to minimize the impact on production, always adhering to the safest working practices. It is the responsibility of the position to strictly adhere to procedures and an issues identified are raised immediately.
  • Liaise with all Maintenance, Manufacturing, Project, Quality and any other site personnel, to meet the site objectives.
  • Provide feedback on equipment and spares issues. Fill out all required paper work such as PM documentation, Lockout Tagout log book and adhere to all site protocols. Complete all paperless documentation online, including calibration & PM’s, and attach all field data to the calibration and PM. Generate follow up work orders and alert reports where and when required. Fill out all other documentation adhering to all site cGMP protocols.
  • Inform maintenance lead, shift manager or any relevant site personnel of impact of work being carried out or result of any issue that may arise. Inform all area owners which equipment will be affected if work is to take place.

Safety

  • Always adhere to all country and site safety protocols. Ensure safe work practices at all times, risk assess work tasks when required to diminish unsafe situations. Liaise with site safety officers and asked for advice when required. Always ensure colleagues and own safety at all times and participate in Safety meetings and teams. Fill out and return all safety documents in a timely and efficient manner. If external vendors are working on site ensure that method statements are provided when necessary. Follow all site safety protocols such as Lockout Tagout and permit to work.

Team work

  • Work and liaise with all other maintenance & manufacturing personnel and maintenance contractors to achieve common goals and objectives. Work across departments and respect the views of other team members at all times. Promote an open forum for the sharing of ides to resolve issues

Development

  • Keep self up to date with changes in legislation and improve work practises. Ensure that training is completed online and attended both internal and external to continually update toolset.
  • After all work is completed clean all work areas and ensure that area is production ready and safe to work in. Implement and sustain 5S initatiatives in the Maintain workshop and across the site. If working in conjunction with contractors ensure that they follow site protocols at all times regarding housekeeping.

Education / Work experience :

  • Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Trade Qualification with previous experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge within a GMP environment an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initative
