Description:
Essential Functions:
- Performs electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting and refrigeration operations including, but not limited to installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining commercial and industrial equipment.
- Performs regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Responds to work requests by performing and completing general facilities repairs in a timely manner.
- Maintains and repairs various machinery and equipment.
- Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and wearing protective equipment as required.
- Performs routine checks and evaluates necessary maintenance to the facilities.
- Provides recommendations for facilities improvements.
- Maintains and organizes spare parts and consumables.
- Performs minor construction and installation of fixtures and accessories.
- Trains internal team members.
- Responds quickly in the event of an emergency, notifying appropriate personnel and following safety protocols.
- Perform other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in facilities maintenance and repairs.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a building maintenance field required (i.e., electrical, carpentry, plumbing).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATION:
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Certification of apprenticeship in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and/or refrigeration.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
- Must possess proficient English skills, both written and verbal.
- Must possess effective oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and general stakeholders in initiatives.
- Ability to read reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to create and compose written materials with proper English grammar and punctuation.
- Ability to communicate clearly with employees, management, and team members.
- Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural business environment.
- Demonstrated active listening skills.
Pay Range: $22.00 to $26.00/hr
