Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Inspect, maintain, evaluate condition and performance, service, troubleshoot and repair mechanical static equipment such as vessels, tanks, drums, heat exchangers and filters.
  • Inspect, maintain, evaluate condition and performance, service, troubleshoot and repair reciprocating engines such as diesel generators, fire water diesel pumps, lifeboat and crane engines.
  • Inspect, maintain, evaluate condition and performance, service, troubleshoot and repair centrifugal and positive displacement pumps such as seawater lift, seawater service, cooling medium, condensate, sump, firewater, chemical injection pumps, etc, etc.
  • Inspect, maintain, evaluate condition and performance, service, troubleshoot and repair gas turbines for power generators and compressors.
  • Inspect, maintain, evaluate condition and performance, service, troubleshoot and repair dynamic and positive displacement air and gas compressors.

Project Delivery

  • All mechanical related project documents (design documents, technical notes, procedures, drawings, etc) that are required as references during operations are being identified and ready for safe keeping at Pegaga platform library.
  • Participate in all project delivery activities including pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of all mechanical equipment and systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge:

  • Diploma in Engineering from accredited Vocational/Technical Institution in Mechanical (Rotating and/or static) training or equivalent or
  • Preferable with *BTEC ONC (Mechanical Level-2/3) qualification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years work experience as mechanical technician in operations and maintenance of mechanical rotating and static equipment and system on offshore gas production processing facilities.

Skills:

  • Computer proficient in the use Microsoft Office and Outlook and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication. Fluent in English.
  • Ability to understand and effectively use mechanical equipment operations and maintenance manuals and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical equipment and system technical documents and drawings.
  • Ability to operate various type of mechanical hand or power tools.
  • Ability to analyse operations problems, identify solutions and implement recommendations to deliver required results.
  • Skills in problem solving and troubleshooting of failed or faulty mechanical rotating equipment and system.
