Saïd Business School is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our multiple sites, ensuring that all buildings and systems are maintained to the highest standards. This is a busy and demanding position, requiring flexibility, autonomy and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Perform reactive, planned and preventative maintenance tasks across all school buildings, ensuring all work is logged on the help desk system.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and welfare regulations, completing and documenting all necessary procedures.
- Supervise contractors, providing inductions, monitoring safety and ensuring work areas are properly managed.
- Assist skilled technicians with plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks, and carry out basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, basic plumbing and carpentry.
- Be available for early, late and weekend shifts as part of a rotational system, including being on-call for out-of-hours issues.
You will possess strong DIY and maintenance skills, including plumbing, carpentry and decorating, with significant recent experience in building maintenance within highly serviced environments. You must also hold a full, clean UK driving license and be proficient in using hand/power tools and associated safety equipment.
