The Maintenance Technician works within a multidisciplinary team to perform basic maintenance, and repairs related to various Cool Aid buildings, suites, grounds, and equipment. The Maintenance Technician ensures that Society properties are properly maintained and conducts routine inspections. The Maintenance Technician position involves working closely with clients in occupied and unoccupied rooms, as well as common areas, often working alone.

EDUCATION

  • Grade 10, plus related vocational training such as a building maintenance course.

EXPERIENCE

  • Two (2) years recent related experience.


    • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Complete the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check.
    • Class 5 drivers’ licence and clean driving record.

    Job Information

    • Hourly Wage Rate: $25.95 - $29.76.
    • Work Location: Various.
    • Work Days: Monday to Friday.
    • Shift Time: 8:00am to 4:00pm.
    • Total Weekly Hours: 40.
    • Union: BCGEU.
    • Benefits: Eligible for 100% employer paid benefits. We offer comprehensive extended health and dental plans.
    • Job Type: Full-time, Temporary. Please note: This position is expected to last until the return of the incumbent.
