Description:
Overview
The AW139 Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) plays a critical role in ensuring the airworthiness and operational readiness of AW139 helicopters. This position involves performing maintenance test flights (MTFs) to validate the proper functioning of the aircraft after maintenance, troubleshooting, and modifications. The MTP collaborates closely with maintenance teams, engineers, and quality assurance personnel to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
Also will be responsible for:
- Must ensure that all aircraft inspections procedures, maintenance practices, standards, and records coply with all FAA, TAMMS, GAL, SOPs, and applicable Local Directives.
- Perform troubleshooting procedures of aircraft on the ground and during flight and make appropriate write-ups or gives verbal instructions to correct deficiencies.
- Verify forms and records used in the performance of maintenance to ensure they comply with work performed prior to ground or maintenance test flights (MTF).
- Perform recovery flights and ferries aircraft to additional sites in or outside the UAE.
- Must be able to work flexible hour (holidays/weekends) as deemed necessary to support SAR mission.
- Communicate, troubleshoot, advise and work side by side with pilots and maintenance personne, and Initiate and complete all flight/ maintenance forms and records to document maintenance test flights completion and discrepancies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned during duty-non-flight periods.

Qualification
High school / diploma graduate, BS degree in any aviation discipline is preferred.
Total of 1500 flight hours and 500 flight hours as pilot in command in the same mission design series (MDS).
Must have current or have ability to pass and maintain FAA or EASA, GCCA equivalent class II flight physical.
Must be able to pass hands-on- flight evaluation.
Experience
Three years’ experience within the last five years piloting AW139 aircraft.
Factory training in aircraft model to be flown or other combination of equivalent experience and education that meet the requirements may be substituted/accepted.
Strong knowledge of Production and Quality Control preferred
