QUALIFICATIONS

MAJOR DUTIES:

The incumbent of this position performs as a Maintenance Worker at Ninety Six National Historic Site, located in Ninety-Six, SC.

The incumbent must be self-directed and able to perform duties with minimum supervision. Work includes tasks associated with trades such as:

• Carpentry repairs using simple measurements and hand tools, painting and staining surfaces using brushes and rollers
• Minor plumbing repairs such as tightening or replacing in-kind fittings and fixtures which do not require custom fitting or solder joints.
• Electrical work such as diagnosing/changing bulbs, fixtures, switches, breakers and outlets
• Additional tasks include operating light trucks, tractors, UTVs, mowers, forklift, and bobcat to transport supplies and materials, and perform grounds and trail maintenance.
• Incumbent will perform custodial services in and around park facilities.

The incumbent is a member of the parks group maintenance team reporting directly to the Superintendent.
