Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
We want you as a talented Welding Specialist Engineer to help us in our mission by defining, managing, and optimizing welding processes in The Exploration Company.
Your expertise will help maintain the quality and safety of our aluminium pressurized vessels and metallic propulsion tanks and propulsion tubes..

PROCESS QUALIFICATION:

• Lead the qualification of welding processes according to industry standards (e.g., ASME, AWS).and NASA Standards
• Conduct Welding Procedure Qualification Tests (WPQT) and Performance Qualification Tests (PQR).
• Document and maintain records of process qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s / Masters’ degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing, qualifying, and managing welding processes.
• Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, AWS) and welding codes. Nasa standards knowledge is a plus.
• Strong understanding of various welding techniques (TIG, MIG, laser, FSW, electron beam welding, etc.).
• Experience with destructive and non-destructive testing methods.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
