We are recruiting a Maître d’Hôtel to join our Banquets Team.
The Banquet Maître d’Hôtel has operational responsibility for the Banquet Department.
In this position, he/she assists the Banquet Operations Director in the field.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluent in French and English.
- Level of training: CAP/BEP/BTS qualification in cateringEssential requirements: Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in a luxury hotel.
- Open-minded with good time-management, organization and communication skills, diligence and commitment.
- Ability to keep a positive attitude, to be creative and responsible.
- Impeccably presented and professional.
- Problem-solving attitude.

Responsibilities:
- Checking the set-up work in compliance with the specifications laid down for the event
- Welcoming customers with a smile, looking after the cloakrooms
- Recruiting extras according to staffing requirements and supervising them for each event
- Check menus (spelling, description, date, wines, etc.)
- Ensure that service is monitored and controlled before and throughout the banquet
- Be aware of the products served
- Serve guests according to the hospitality principles of a 5-star hotel, respecting the expectations of the Mandarin Oriental and Swiss Deluxe Group
- To deal with customer complaints in line with the LQE procedure and to refer complaints and all customer observations to Management.
