DETAILS

  • Schedule: Full-time, Mon-Friday 8am-4:30pm, no weekends or holidays

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 15 Months (1 1/4 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities:

Provide mammography imaging services.

  • Operate equipment and performs various mammography related procedures
  • Prepare and position patient and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Explain procedures and educate patient about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
  • Develop and evaluate the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning.
  • Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure room, storage area, dressing room, film storage area and any other areas in department.
