REQUIREMENTS

Bookkeeping: Ensure that Xero is kept up to date with daily, weekly and monthly transaction postings, and that all accounts are fully reconciled.
Accounts payable: Ensure that all supplier invoices are imported into Xero correctly and create the weekly payment runs. Produce weekly aged creditors reporting.
Accounts receivable: Ensure that all sales invoices and transactions are imported into Xero correctly and that all control accounts are reconciled. Produce weekly aged creditors reporting.
Weekly sales reporting: Assist the FD/CFO with weekly sales reporting.
Month end: Calculate and post all month end journals, including accruals, prepayment, depreciation and adjustments. Review the numbers to ensure that they are complete and correct, and produce month end reporting.
Year end: Support the FD/CFO in the year end close process and liaising with the auditors to facilitate their work.
Tax compliance: Work with Avalara (our outsourced sales tax partner) to ensure that all returns are completed and submitted on a timely basis. Assist the corporate tax advisors with completion of the annual corporation tax returns.
Systems: Assist the FD/CFO with the implementation and maintenance of Finance systems, most notably the implementation of the Fulfil ERP system taking place in the new year.
Processes & controls: Ensure the business has appropriate financial processes and controls in place and that these are maintained and updated as necessary

You will support the FD/CFO with AKT’s day to day Finance needs. This will be a broad role encompassing transactional finance and bookkeeping, weekly and monthly reporting cycles, year end statutory reporting, tax compliance and much more besides. It’s a brand new role for the business, and has been created due to the ever growing need for Finance resource as the AKT continues to rapidly scale both in the UK and overseas markets.
