Description:
GENERAL SUMMARY
To provide effective support to the Financial Controller and Finance Director and to be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the finance department.
To help lead and coordinate on the preparation of monthly management accounts and various reporting throughout the business
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Financial Qualifications such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT or QBE not essential but would be beneficial. Part-qualified candidate more than welcome to apply.
- Experience working within a finance team would be beneficial.
- Very proficient with MS Excel and MS Office.
- Must be a good communicator across all levels of the business.
- Willing to liaise with senior management throughout the business and at Group level.
- Excellent time management and planning skills.
- Strong teamwork skills essential.
- Positive “can do” attitude.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts to agreed timescales, including various balance sheet reconciliations, and maintaining accruals and prepayments schedules
- Responsibility for Igloo USA management accounts and the subsequent consolidation
- Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to all areas of the business
- Sales and gross margin analysis (at customer, territory and product level)
- Help assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Liaising with the warehouse on certain stock transactions and the financial impact resulting from them
- Detailed stock accounting and analysis of any resulting variances
- Regular profit & loss and balance sheet analysis with any subsequent reporting
- Various Group reporting
- Assistance with year-end and interim audits
- Monthly VAT returns to Group
- Inter-company reconciliations
- Weekly sales reporting and analysis for the business
- Work with both the Financial Controller and Finance Director on any finance initiatives and process improvements
- Any other tasks required by the Financial Controller/Finance Director.
