Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE…
Our Finance Team is looking for a Management Accountant, in this role you will be part of our Country Finance Team and you will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, assisting in year end audits, producing journals and supporting with project work.
Reporting directly into the Finance Manager, you will work in collaboration with experienced and knowledgeable senior finance partners & accountants. This is the perfect opportunity for a qualified accountant who is looking to take their finance career to the next level.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are prepared on a monthly basis, and that all balances are correct and differences investigated.
- Production and posting of key journals including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.
- Support the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis to assist decision making for local teams.
- Develop robust processes and controls to ensure risks are managed appropriately in line with Group requirements.
- Assist in the production of accurate monthly and quarterly flash results for Financial Planning and Commercial teams.
- Assisting in year-end statutory audit process.
- Other ad hoc projects as required by Finance Director or Financial Controller.
- Manage the Fixed Asset Register and ensure timely postings on acquisition/disposal of assets.
- Work with Transaction Services (AP/AR/Banking) to facilitate a smooth month-end process.
- Support variance and trend analysis by site, by GL line item.
