Overview:
We have an opportunity for a French-speaking Management Accountant to join our growing Accountancy Centre of Excellence in Glasgow.
As a French Speaking Management Accountant you will take a lead role in the centralisation of work from our regional finance partners across France and the USA to Glasgow ensuring monthly accounting procedures are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
You’ll also help drive the improvement of our processes and support the development of the wider team.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Take a lead role in the centralising of accounting work from our external service providers in France to our accounting centre of excellence
- Work effectively with colleagues both locally in Glasgow and remotely in France and the USA
- Responsibility for all accounting functions including revenue, payroll, AP, treasury and management accounting.
- Production of accurate management accounts and relevant commentary
- Prepare and review reconciliations to verify the accuracy of management accounts and perform monthly, quarterly and year-to-date variance analysis to budget and prior year on P&L.
- Preparation and review of monthly reporting packs and production and review of ad hoc reporting as requested.
- Assistance and support in response to external and internal audit requests.
- Research of technical accounting matters under US & French GAAP and other regional GAAPs.
- Cooperate with the off-shore processing team on balance sheet reconciliations and outsourced accounting functions.
- Provide support for Finance Business Partners and other departments as queries arise
- Assisting the Finance Manager with ah-hoc finance projects and technical tasks and taking the lead on elements of the projects
- Assisting with the standardisation of finance systems across the region
About you:
- Fluency in French & English
- Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, ACA,CIMA or equivalent) OR relevent experience
- French GAAP/US GAAP experience – highly desirable
- Ability to manage priorities whilst adhering to agreed timeframes
- Flexible approach when dealing with multiple tasks and environments
- Experience of process redesign and implementation - highly desirable
- Eligibility to work in the UK
