Our Finance Team is a core function, managing a wide range of responsibilities including commercial finance, financial analysis, accounts, credit control, and payroll. This role is offered as a Fixed Term Contract for a period of 6months.

TO JOIN OUR TEAM, YOU WILL NEED:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) Part-qualified or QBE (qualified by experience)
• Experience of working within a finance department as part of an internship or placement
• Experience of using Microsoft Excel
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and enthusiasm to challenge and improve processes
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong internal relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues
• Able to present financial information to colleagues in a clear, concise and confident manner
• Bachelor’s Degree (ideally in a Finance or Accounts related subject)
• Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics (preferred)

As a Management Accountant for BES Group, you will report in to the Commercial Finance Team and prepare management accounts for the BES Group of companies. You’ll complete reporting on both gross profit and overhead performance and conduct analysis to support both the executive team and the operational managing directors. The scope of this role will grow over time as you develop your skills and experience.

You will:

• Produce and be responsible for a variety of gross profit and overhead P&L cost centres and produce their monthly management accounts
• Review and analyse both revenue and costs to support accuracy of accounts, including providing accurate commentary and investigation into variances
• Post consolidated invoice journals/prepayments/accruals and various other month end journals
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Budgeting, forecasting and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and systems
• Complete VAT returns
• Attend monthly meetings with the Exec team and P&L owners to discuss performance
