We have a great opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join us at Fulton Hogan. The Auckland Region head office is in Penrose.
As a management accountant, you will support the wider business through effective time management and communication. Collaborating with Accounting and Finance Managers, you will review cost-to-complete analyses, supporting monthly accounts and profit and loss reviews, and maintaining accurate job costing. Our values will drive everything you do.
In addition to the above you will:
- Provide detailed variance and margin analysis
- Ensure job costing accuracy and processing of recodes and accruals
- Prepare timely financial and ad hoc reports, including statements, reconciliations, and forecasts
- Participate in project/department reviews
- Assist in preparing annual budgets with Project/Department Managers
- Manage capital including budgets and forecasting

We’re looking for someone with:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or extensive experience comparable to CA or CPA
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including accounting standards, legislation, and best practices
- In-depth understanding of business operations, commercial practices, and contractual law
- Experience in providing strategic financial advice and leadership across an organisation.
- Proficiency in financial systems, excel and relevant accounting software
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in budget preparation, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
