Job description
You will oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting functions. This hands-on role involves managing a range of financial activities, including monthly and year-end reporting, compliance with statutory obligations, ensuring efficient financial operations and key involvement in financial planning and analysis including budget development and forecasting.
You will work closely with senior leadership to drive financial performance, optimise cost management, and ensure accurate reporting in line with company policy and relevant AASB standards. The role also includes supervisory responsibilities for the finance team, ensuring that internal processes and controls are maintained and continuously improved. We are seeking a candidate who is interested in a long-term commitment, ideally with a tenure of at least 10 years.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily finance operations including cash flow management, bank reconciliations, payroll, vendor payments, and accounts payable.
- Manage the end-of-month close process, ensuring accurate and timely journal preparation and reconciliation of accounts in accordance with reporting timetable.
- Assist in developing, maintaining and monitoring financial models to support strategic decisions, reporting needs, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of consolidated monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS).
- Lead the annual financial audit process, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial records, and addressing auditor queries.
- Collaborate with management to monitor financial performance, optimise expenditures, identify cost drivers, and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Identify, report on, and analyse KPIs to monitor and improve the financial performance of Healthhub springfield.
- Assist external accountants in preparing annual income tax and Fringe Benefits Tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax legislation.
- Present financial results and strategic insights to senior management and key stakeholders, translating complex financial data for non-financial teams.
- Supervise and mentor the finance team, providing back-up to accounts payable and payroll as required.
- Continual improvement of internal controls and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
