Following a recent strategy and operating model review our focus is on building the structure, skills and capabilities required for the next chapter of the IGO story. We are seeking applications from experienced Management Accountants for a position at our world class Nova operation. Reporting to the Manager – Finance Operations, this crucial site-based role is responsible for the preparation and delivery of monthly journals, accruals and reporting as well as completing detailed departmental cost analysis.

Key accountabilities include:

• Month-end accounting, including mine accounting, stockpile valuations and mining contractor claim;
• Maintain fixed assets registers, amortisation and depreciation calculations;
• Prepare monthly journals and accruals for various departments;
• Calculation of mining royalties to DMIRS and Native title landowners;
• Monthly, quarterly and half-yearly management reporting plus annual financial reporting;
• Budgeting and forecasting, including life of mine development and business reviews; and
• Business analysis, such as cost reviews, business improvement initiatives and optimisation plans.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

To be successful, you will be highly analytical, commercially focussed, self-motivated with the ability to build effective working relationships. You will also bring the following skills:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting/Finance coupled with Professional Membership (ANZCA or CPA);
• Previous experience in a Management Accountant role (mining industry experience ideal);
• Pronto systems experience is essential (TM1 planning experience also advantageous);
• Commercially savvy with proficient financial modelling and excel skills;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Valid ‘C’ class driver’s licence; and
• National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
