Description:
Management Accountant
We’re currently looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join our United Utilities contract. This role will have responsibility for the provision and interpretation of financial and management information to support and inform the local management team. This role comes at an exciting time for the business and will play an integral role in developing/mobilising the Kier United Utilities Contract financial reporting including cost capture.
Location: Salford, Manchester, with flexible, hybrid working.
Contract: Permanent, full-time and able to consider part-time opportunities
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Management Accountant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Provide front line financial support to local and regional management teams.
- Ensure cost capture is optimised so that we deliver to expected margins on the contract.
- Oversee the preparation of weekly and monthly reporting, including contract performance, productivity analysis and cost base.
- Control of balance sheet, reconciliation process and cash reporting along with ensuring robust control of CVR’s (Cost and Value Summaries), balance sheet and working capital.
- Partnering the Commercial teams in the preparation of short to medium term forecasts, and provide insight and analysis on performance drivers.
This role of Management Accountant is great for you if you have:
- Hold a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), final stage part qualified accountants will be considered.
- Excellent commercial knowledge and experience of operating in a Construction environment, with project accounting experience (Water industry would be preferable).
- Advanced data analytic and excel skills.
- Good Communication skills, both written and verbal and able to build positive stakeholder relationships
