We’re on the hunt for a Management Accountant at our Didcot (Harwell Campus) office.
MDA’s international footprint in the UK creates opportunities to work with some of the most exciting space industrial players in the country. Delivering all three business area capabilities in Geointelligence, Robotics & Space Operations, and Satellite Systems, our UK team provides support to our European-based customers while specializing in the development of advanced space sensors for exploration missions as well as space-based communication technology. As our presence grows overseas, so does our need for new ambitious team players to help us advance our place in the Universe and beyond.

Responsibilities:
- Monthly forecasting & variance explanations
- Annual budgeting & forecasting
- Monthly expenditure & timesheet reporting
- Assistance with month end processes
- Assistance with Corporate Reports
- Project finances including calculations of margins, EAC’s, ETC’s
- Intercompany transactions & reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations & accompanying journals
- Coordinating external auditors
- Quarterly VAT returns & annual R&D tax credits
- Assistance with system transitions & processes
- Holiday cover for other finance team members
Other ad hoc tasks when required
Suitable candidates will ideally have the following attributes:
Excellent communication skills
- Organised with a high attention to detail
- Be able to work well as part of a team
- Be able to self-motivate, manage own workload & be pro-active
- Strong Excel skills (sumifs, vlookups, autofiltering etc)
- Willingness to learn & develop
- Ability to prioritize & meet deadlines
