ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Micromine Australia team, based in the Perth HQ, are currently seeking a Management Accountant to join them.
Being the largest and fastest-growing region of Micromine, in this role you will play a critical role in supporting the financial health of the organisation. Including responsibility for preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, as well as providing insightful analysis to guide strategic decision-making.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, Australia, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statements) as per the month end timetable. Provide commentary on variances to budget and forecast.
  • Variance analysis on actuals vs budgets and forecast for the revenue, cost of sales and operating expenses.
  • Work closely with the sales department to ensure that sales orders are approved, fulfilled, and billed timeously.
  • Work closely with licensing department to ensure correct accounting treatment of software sales (including services and training) and deferred revenue).
  • Ensure the timeous collection of debtors receipts.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet items.
  • Preparation of yearly budgets and quarterly forecasts.
