We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our Ngāi Tahu Holdings portfolio. NGĀ PŪKENGA / EXPERIENCE:
- Understanding of farming and forestry practices.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, with expertise in month-end accounting.
- Strong communication skills and a focus on process improvement.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and high attention to detail.
NGĀ TOHU MĀTAURANGA / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
- CA qualification (CAANZ)
Responsibilities:
TE AROTAHI MATUA / PRIMARY FOCUS OF THIS ROLE:
As a Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial health of Ngāi Tahu Holdings’ Farming & Forestry portfolio. This role involves managing a range of accounting and reporting tasks, providing essential business support, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
NGĀ KAWENGA / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports and reconcile accounts for internal and external platforms.
- Work alongside our Finance Business Partner to deliver financial analysis and collaborate on budget reporting.
- Provide monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and external requirements.
- Continuously improve financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain a strong understanding of FarmRight systems and data reporting tools.
- Participate in cultural activities to strengthen your connection to Ngāi Tahutanga and te reo Māori.
