THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Management Accountant to support the fast-growing Large Electric Power Solutions business within Caterpillar’s Electric Power Division. This position will support the Larne Operations team with legal entity and accountable close including analysis/insights into the financial results. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your work will be highly visible at many levels of the facility.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Financial accounting including preparation of journal entries and month-end closing support.
- Results reporting, analysis, and provide insights on the financial results to assist management with business decisions.
- Responsible for justification/business cases for new capital investment requests, CAPEX reporting, and fixed asset controlling.
- Supporting Senior Finance Manager in developing the facility annual business plan and quarterly forecasts for variable and period costs as well as the corresponding monthly variance analysis.
- Understand and support Larne’s standard costing and annual rates setting.
- Develop new tools and analytics to streamline financial analysis and provide enhanced decision support.
- Support ad-hoc analysis such as (but not limited to) material utilisation, absorption, facility contracts, compliance etc.
