Perth Business Relocations P/L is a dynamic, fast-growing commercial relocation company based in Welshpool. We specialise in providing comprehensive relocation services to businesses of all sizes, from small one-person offices to large organisations with 400+ staff, as well as warehouses, universities, hospitals, and more.
We are currently seeking a proactive Management Accountant to join our friendly and expanding team.
REQUIRED SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES & EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 4+ years’ experience in accounting or a related role.
- An Australian degree in accounting.
- A strong preference for 4+ years’ experience and understanding of the commercial removals industry.
- Must be currently residing in Australia.
- Previous management experience is highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and other computer skills.
- Strong management and problem-solving abilities, producing positive outcomes.
- Fast learner with excellent organisation skills to plan, prioritise, and manage work effectively.
- A willing and adaptable attitude to assist with various office tasks.
- Exceptional communication skills and fluency in English.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently within a small, collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare relocation and project cost estimations.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and financial institutions.
- Provide financial and taxation recommendations to improve business policies and strategies.
- Track, analyse, and report on cash flow data for expenses such as tools, inventory, and overheads.
- Develop and maintain project/job cost reports throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyse project costs and performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Review accounting periods and generate reports for informed decision-making.
- Contribute to annual budgeting and financial planning processes.
- Ensure financial records are accurate and secure sensitive information.
- Monitor economic trends in the relocation industry and advise on market changes.
- Review rates of depreciation, labour, and overhead, and recommend policy updates.
- Audit sales and stock levels for cash flow optimisation and efficiency.
- Assess financial risks related to new capital expenditures.
- Oversee weekly payroll processing and reporting.
- Assist in preparing tax returns for the company and employees.
- Provide guidance to bookkeeping and admin staff.
- Maintain and enhance existing accounting and payroll systems, exploring new options.
- Conduct financial investigations and prepare reports on business purchases and sales.
- Support upper management with other tasks as required.
