Description:

Care with Agility You’ll ensure that budgets are aligned to delivery of our strategy to Care with Agility, in a supportive culture whilst extending our reach in the community. To work with partners, wider health and social care teams, and commissioners to ensure a whole system approach with collaboration and delivery for the patient at the heart of what we do. We make decisions based on data and analysis. You’ll provide data to ensure effective and timely decision making.
Financial Accountability To work with passion and dedication as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely management accounts and supporting information each month. You’ll work with the Executive Team and Heads of from across the charity to ensure financial accountability. You’ll assist with the annual budgeting process, review data (spend and forecasts) with Heads of and produce budget schedules for Committee and the Trust Board approval. You’ll be detailed conscious and a forward planner who has excellent IT and planning skills to ensure the smooth operation of the team within budget Using your strong financial acumen you’ll support others to manage budgets, find more for less solutions and lead a cost conscious culture, ensuring sustainability for the future.
You’ll work with Heads of to ensure that processes such as Gift Aid, VAT returns and other financial actions are managed appropriately. You’ll ensure the Finance team and Company Secretary meet statutory responsibilities including but not limited to the annual accounts and Audit. You’ll carry out project work as directed by the Head of Finance Deputising for the Head of Finance as required Supportive Culture To line manage the Accounts Assistant in accordance with our Values and the culture we set for Thames Hospice To ensure all communication with people from a variety of backgrounds with diverse needs is accurate, timely and aligned to our values To continuously learn and develop to maintain professional and managerial competence and teach others where skilled to do so To manage conflict, complexity and day to day demands ensuring the finance team is effective and productive You’ll be empowered to recruit, engage, and develop our people within an inclusive, diverse, learning and collaborative culture, living our values.
