DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Management Accountant with a sharp eye for detail and strong reconciliation skills. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a passion for improvement, we want you on our team!
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE!
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly accounting procedures, including P&L reports and reconciliations
Taking ownership of BAS and FBT returns, ensuring compliance with tax and reporting requirements
Reviewing and refining finance processes, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and compliance standards
Monitoring and reporting on financial performance, identifying trends and recommending areas for improvement
Supporting and preparing for external audit requirements
Leading and mentoring a small team, fostering continuous improvement and optimize financial performance
Developing and maintaining financial models to support budgeting and forecasting
Collaborating with the Finance Manager to generate data insights that drive business decisions
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to maintain and strengthen working relationships
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
3+ years’ experience in a similar role within a commercial environment
A relevant degree and a strong understanding of finance operations
Leadership experience, with the ability to cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team
Solid financial and statutory knowledge, and experience with key accounting and reporting processes
Strong technical skills in accounting software, Excel, and familiarity with Power BI and SQL (or a willingness to learn)
A proactive, solution-focused mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency
