Pay Range: $ 54,879 - $71,343 annual compensation

A Management Analyst I is available with the City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department within the Recreation Division. The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department is made up of 12,032 acres of parkland and includes 281 park and recreation facilities.
The Management Analyst I is responsible for assisting with analyzing all aspects of the financial system as it pertains to the Recreation Division including more than $14 million in general fund expenditures and ensuring the necessary funds are in the correct accounts and fund centers. The position requires detailed analysis and guidance to management regarding the operational and capital budget processes of the City. The position requires the capacity to work successfully in a team environment, build effective working relationships inside and outside of the departments and maintain a comprehensive awareness of the organization. This job requires a fearlessness in learning and mastering new technical skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration, or related
- No previous experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Capital & Operating Budgeting
- Finance monitoring, reconciling, capitalization
- Grant monitoring and reconciliation
- PeopleSoft Financials, or similar ERP Financial suites
- Questica (budgeting)
- Advanced Excel skills
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist with the development of division’s budget as it pertains to salaries, staffing, and equipment; assist with revenue analysis and fee benchmarking and review
- Assist with the management and reconciliation of the division’s grants
- Review and prepare financial forecasts (for revenue and expenditure accounts)
- Provide a variety of analytical and research support on various projects
- Assist with compiling, reviewing and tracking document submittals to the Park & Recreation Advisory Board and City Council and review staff credit card purchases, and purchases in PeopleSoft Financials.
- Assist with preparing and presenting reports, assist with planning, developing and implementing work plans to include goals and objectives and attend meetings regularly to gather information for the division and department.
