The Team & Role
You will be joining the Finance & Accounting organisation that spans 100 people all over the globe responsible for managing every facet of Zuora’s finances and supporting scalability in our growth journey.
This role will support the EMEA group within Zuora reporting into EMEA’s Financial Controller and will be essential to ensure the scalability and execution of our operations, sitting at the heart of a wide spanning organisation. It will require someone that can drive results in a high growth, dynamic and fast paced environment.
You will have a broad remit spanning multiple disciplines within Finance & Accounting and partner with various functions to maximise efficiencies and help drive business initiatives. This broad remit will include the collaborative management of 10 legal entities from financial close through to management packs and supporting audits, tax compliances, SOX, local compliance and being a key player in the analysis and implementation of new company wide projects.
This is a hybrid position, so you’ll work both remotely and in the office.
What you’ll do
- Production and consolidation of monthly management reporting packs for a number of European entities
- Streamlining our audited quarterly P&L/Balance Sheet reporting to US management P&L analysis and explanation of cost variance.
- Support the Financial Controller in the integration of new acquisitions from due diligence to FinOps and policy establishment.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts, identifying and resolving any differences within the close period. Reconciliations must be organized, accurate and complete.
- Assist the Financial Controller in the management of the U.S. GAAP to local GAAP differences for international subsidiaries.
- Be a key figure in identifying process improvements and championing new global and EMEA based projects along with managing to completion.
- Ownership and management of the preparation of various entities’ tax compliance Assisting with annual local statutory and consolidated audits as well as internal audit and SOX requests.
- Partner with our legal team, external consultants and banks to establish new subsidiaries, as well as participate in setting up the accounting processes for new locations. Assisting the Financial Controller to create and enforce stronger control procedures. Provide assistance to the rest of the Finance team as required
Your experience
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent)
- 3-4 years of practice experience required
- Experience with reporting and/or audits
- Some experience within tax
- Partnership skills that will enable you to work with remote and local teams Experience in a rapidly changing environment where agility and an eye for optimization is crucial
- Expert knowledge of Excel and the ability to manipulate large datasets
- Ability to collaborate in a globally distributed team environment
- Proven ability to be curious and uncover solutions to inefficiencies and complex scenarios. Strong communication skills and can effectively communicate their opinion and views A self-starter with the ability to work independently, yet able to account for their activity.
Nice to haves:
- Experience with international region GAAPs and an understanding of US GAAP Netsuite/Coupa/Blackline experience
- German/French/Italian/Swedish fluency
