Responsibilities:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to parent company, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible for ensuring the financial performance of the Business/Country and all other aspects of the business are accurately accounted for and reported.
  • Ensuring that stock valuation and stock costing are always accurate and up to date to allow the commercial team in the business to price our products appropriately.
  • Ensures that all aspects of the financial control environment are brought into compliance with the Internal Control Standards and then ensure that compliance is monitored and maintained.
  • Oversees accounting departments, budget preparation, and audit functions. Meets regularly with department heads to keep informed and to offer direction.
  • Reviews reports to analyze projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.
  • Analyzes company operations to pinpoint opportunities and areas that need to be reorganized, down-sized, or eliminated.
  • Studies long-range economic trends and projects company prospects for future growth in overall sales and market share, opportunities for acquisitions or expansion into new product areas. Estimates requirements for capital, land, buildings, and an increase in the work force.
  • Recognizes and implements new developments in information systems technology, and anticipates organizational modifications.
  • Establishes long-term needs for information systems, and plans strategy for developing systems and acquiring hardware to meet application needs.
  • Ensures confidentiality and reliability of corporate data, proprietary information, and intellectual property.
  • Ensuring all the statutory compliances requirements for the country are executed timely and accurately.
