The Role
The Finance team in Genmab is growing and now looking for a Manager to join the Accounting Operations team in Copenhagen.
This is a key position within the Accounting Operations Team and a great opportunity for an experienced, motivated, and ambitious accounting professional. You will be working in a highly motivated team of experienced finance professionals in an organization where we value innovation, determination, integrity, and teamwork.
We are looking for candidates who will be able to combine a hands-on approach to the daily activities while at the same time can work strategically and holistically in optimizing processes and managing resources.
This position reports to the Associate Director, Accounting Operations based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and you will be part of a large Global Finance team.
Responsibilities
We are looking for candidates who bring solid accounting experience from similar positions in international companies and thrive with following tasks:
Oversee the daily cash reconciliation with the different banks Genmab operates. Ensure timely and accurate bank reconciliation.
Oversee the accounting and reporting of Genmab’s investment portfolio, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Manage and oversee the accounting and reconciliation of assigned equity and corporate tax accounts.
Assist the Tax department and the external advisor with preparation of the annual Corporate Income tax returns
Act as a local admin for our Blackline reconciliation and task management system.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and other required reporting to National Bank of Denmark, Danmarks Statistik, etc
Supervise and mentor of 2-3 accounting professionals, providing guidance and support for their development.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, IFRS and SOX requirements related to cash, investments, equity and taxes.
Manage the company digital mailbox and assist with the required reporting to different government authorities. Coordinate with the relevant departments in case information is not known from the Accounting Ops.
Support to audits: Collaborate with internal and external auditors during periodic audits, providing documentation and explanations as required.
Cross functional collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including finance or other departments outside of finance. Collaborate with COE team and other SAP consultants for enhancements or adoption of the ERP system to meet the needs of the daily tasks or to have a better and more efficient task management.
Requirements

We are looking for candidates that meet the following professional requirements:

  • BA or BS mandatory, CPA (Certified public accountant), CA (Certified accountant) and/or MBA preferred. 6+ years of experience in public accounting and accounting in a multinational environment
  • Desire to learn and implement new accounting pronouncements and requirements and develop technical skillset
  • Thrive in a cross-functional role and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and understanding disclosure requirements
  • SAP knowledge is strongly desired, but not a must
  • Excellent business acumen, with strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong reporting and internal controlling skills are needed as well as the ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Strong analytic skills with the ability to review financial analyses, account reconciliations and identify potential issues are needed
  • Strong communication skills - both oral and written
