ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager based in Vancouver. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting, this role oversees the operations of the Accounting team, with a focus on providing strong analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles. NOTE: This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to work from our beautiful office near the Waterfront Station in downtown Vancouver for a minimum of 2 days per week.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Supervise the accounting team who perform day-to-day accounting activities, including AP, AR, and bank reconciliation.
  • Complete all month-end procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements.
  • Assist in the analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information to ensure that our systems and processes are as efficient as possible.
  • Manage our budgeting system (Vena) and assist in the maintenance of Business Central.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process.
  • Assist with year-end preparation.
  • Prepare reports for bank lenders and shareholders, monthly reporting, and other ad hoc reports and forecasts.
