Their growth strategy includes the recent acquisitions of Great Jones (a full-service property management company), Stessa (financial management software), Rent Prep (tenant screening and placement services), and Mynd (a property management platform for both retail and institutional investors).
About the role:

  • Develop future technical leaders by encouraging both technical and interpersonal skill development, and identifying mentorship and training opportunities.
  • Ensure team tasks are visible, well-organized, on track, and that expectations are effectively managed.
  • Ensure team processes and documentation are followed and continuously improved.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to refine and execute on our GenAI strategy, including building infrastructure for other teams and applications, and developing end-to-end solutions.
  • Provide clear guidance in a dynamic startup environment, and empower your teams to navigate ambiguity.

About you

  • Proficiency in Java, Python, distributed systems architecture (microservices), and working with data assets.
  • Strong ability to comprehend, troubleshoot, and clearly convey technical challenges and solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Processes and experience building and optimizing high-performing teams.
  • Empathy towards team members, with the ability to engage in difficult conversations, demand excellence, and foster a culture that drives sustained success.
  • Adaptable in applying software best practices to non-deterministic solutions.

Conditions:

  • Fluent in English.
  • An independent engineer (not associated with an agency) with the ability to work approximately 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
  • Committed to being available until noon Pacific Time (not necessarily working but responsive on Slack and attending occasional meetings).
