Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Allied Health is responsible for the daily operations of the Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Non-Urgent Patient Transportation, Palliative Care Program and Specialty Clinic departments/programs. Provides program and service specific leadership and direction for the development and provision of quality services. Responsibilities include planning and executing activities related to service delivery and performance management of staff. In conjunction with the Managers, Patient Care Services and Vice President, Clinical Services & Chief Nursing Officer, monitors performance through analysis, tracking, trending and implements strategies for program improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current license in good standing as a Regulated Health Professional, in the province of Ontario.
  • Graduate of an accredited and approved program.
  • Completed Continuing Education Requirements (CEUs) as required by regulation
  • Evidence of current CPR certification
  • A minimum of three years experience in leadership/supervisory role is preferred
  • Demonstrated time management, prioritization, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of labour/management practices.
  • Exceptional business acumen and ability to collaborate with hospital partners, community partners and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format
  • Knowledge of health & safety and infection prevention and control.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of business office technologies: PC/laptop with Microsoft Office applications, smart phone, website/internet, email, calendar.
  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English. Bilingualism in French and English is preferred.
